Book Review - Don't Eat Bees: Life Lessons from Chip the Dog

Posted by Kaila W. on Oct 17th 2023

Chip is a very smart dog. He is so smart he has decided to share all the life lessons he has gained in his long seven human years of life. Life lesson number one, cat’s suck, two; socks are meant to be eaten; and three, never eat a bee. And he means NEVER ever eat a bee.

In Dev Petty’s newest book we follow a dog named Chip. Chip shares what is best to eat, and what is worst to eat. With adorable and simple pictures created by Mike Boldt, this book is a perfect match for any teacher or parent looking to fill their shelves with fun picture books and bedtime reads.

Don’t Eat Bees was published by Doubleday Books for Young Readers in May of 2022. This book is 32 pages long, and is for readers aged 3-7 or grades Pre-K-2.

If you like this Book and want more, Dev has plans to release another book with Chip the dog called Don't Trust Cats that is expected to be released in January of 2024.
